The reserves had a disappointing day at Mottingham Playing Fields against Belford Town.Richard Verde and Craig Parker were drafted in from the 1st team to ease defensive problems due to a number of players being unavailable.Lee Damiral's early headed goal was immediately cancelled out due to the referees first of many blunders. He awarded a penalty despite Verde's good tackle in the box and it was converted.Soon after Verde limped off injured and that was quickly followed by fellow centre back Parker being sent off. This was another mistake by the ref and it could end up being even more costly(the club will certainly be appealing the decision).More re shuffles were needed and even though various players were out of position the side did well and were on top.But three 2nd half goals from Belford put paid to the good effort.Dave Keen got a consolation goal late on.
